3️⃣ Export the project templateĪfter creating the project, you can export it and turn it into a template. That way, you can ensure that tasks are accomplished comprehensively, and nothing is missed out on. Some subtask ideas for a broader task such as the above can be “write the content”, “design infographics”, and “schedule the content”. For example, you can have a broad task such as “plan social media content for LinkedIn”. That way, you can create a project template that covers all bases of the project you’re undertaking.įurthermore, dividing tasks into subtasks can make it much easier to handle and stay on track when working on a project. Todoist gives you full control over the project, so you can add as many tasks and subtasks as necessary. 2️⃣ Start adding your tasks and subtasksįrom there, you can start adding tasks and subtasks. After giving it a name, all you have to do is click “Add project”. When you click the button, a window pops up where you can name the project. This is as easy as clicking the “+” button on the “Project” panel in the Todoist toolbar. To start, you have to create a new project. Below, we’ll break down the process of creating a Todoist project template from scratch. You can insert tasks that are specific to your needs, name the templates accordingly, and take full control of how you’d like your template to be. Making your own customized templates has a lot of advantages. When everything regarding the project is in order, and you and your team are using a Todoist time tracking integration, the manager can ensure that everyone is working on something and every team member is as productive as possible while staying on schedule. One of the best benefits of using Todoist is keeping you and your team organized, which is especially important when it comes to larger-scale projects that must be completed on time. This can make the project planning phase much simpler, which is usually the part that takes up the most time. And instead of approaching the project blindly, you can use a project template alongside a time tracker to plan every step in the process accordingly and make sure you stick within budget and schedule.įrom there, you have to tweak the template to ensure it covers everything you need to accomplish. For example, you can create a Todoist project for a “website development” project. These are templates for full-sized projects. Project templates, on the other hand, are a bit more comprehensive. For example, this could be a grocery list, a to-do list for the morning, or even the points you must cover in a presentation or meeting. The first type of template is designed for single tasks. There are two types of templates on Todoist. When all the tasks and subtasks within the project are finalized, you can use one of the few Todoist time tracking integrations to keep track of time and how long each task is taking you to complete. For example, if you plan to conduct an SEO audit for a client’s website, you can create a project in Todoist called “SEO website audit”, which would become the hub for all the subtasks required for the completion of the project. Todoist projects are a collection of tasks and subtasks that you can personally define. Todoist Templates: Conclusion What Are Todoist Projects?

It’s easy to assume that only people who surf, snowboard/ski, or SUP would benefit from balance board work, especially given the shape of them and how they move. Will attempt to dump the atmega soon, probably secured but might get luckyĪlso in process of creating schematics, nearly finished prog board so far, cha board todo.Īlso found out today, i've still got a very old version of Quartus (Altera dev tool suite) with support for these old cpld's on an old XP box, think i've got programmer somewhere too. I think the atmega is storing/loading soft dip settings but not yet confirmed, need to go through the code in detail soon. Lots writes to 2ffff0, 25fff0, 2fffc0, presumably communicating with the cpld and atmega, also reading data from 200000-2fffff region so looks like it should have a P2 data rom somewhere in P1 or P2 roms which i've yet to locate. Got the menu code running in Mame, turns out it uses only S rom graphics, no C, uses two S roms with trivial bankswitch mechanism. PCB held up great, 24 remove/resolder cycles, just one pad started to lift on the very last chip. dumped a Mega Drive 112-in-1 multi-cart whilst I was at it But even then the physical removing, reprogramming, refitting of all the chips is still a major time consuming task!įull dump totals just under 3GB, zips to around 1.2GBĮagle-eyed will notice one extra chip there. I guess the dream would be if the whole process could be wrapped up in an application, just drag-drop the roms and it would spit out images for all the chips, roms, cplds, mcu, then reprogram the whole thing. (easy if required)Īll-in-all, possible but long way to go, well at least I wouldn't say anything there is impossible anyway

You’d probably be surprised hell, I was when I did the research for you good folks. It doesn’t take a genius to realise that one tiny spark… and the whole thing will go BOOM!ĭoes anyone still remember the Hindenburg? Hydrogen gas at work… Photo: Universal History Archive Surely it can’t make that much hydrogen gas? All of a sudden you’re putting a bunch of 12-volt gear (charger, solar controller, Anderson plugs, ciggy sockets, etc.) in a sealed container that will fill up with hydrogen gas. Where this becomes a problem is when you go and buy a ‘sealed’ box or space-case. That’s why on the side of a lead-acid battery it says to store, use and charge in a ‘well-ventilated area’. So as soon as your charger goes over 14.1-volts (2.35-volts times six cells), it’s generating a hell of a lot of hydrogen gas. In our specific case, your 12-volt lead-acid battery has six cells. This occurs when your battery voltage goes above about 2.35-volts per cell. It’s actually hydrogen and oxygen (two parts hydrogen, one part oxygen – from water H20). Most folks probably realise that when you’re charging a lead-acid battery, it gives off hydrogen gas. Until of course, you open the lid! How exactly am I turning the battery box project into a bomb?! For the more scientifically minded, it’s essentially Schrodinger’s Box both a battery box and a bomb, at the same time. There’s only one problem: by using sealed boxes, you’re basically turning your neat DIY project into a bomb. I absolutely understand the concept behind them they’re portable, easy to plug-in, can be moved to the different accessories using them, and are a nice and easy DIY jobbie you can do at home. In a rather concerning trend I’ve noticed as of late, there are a lot of people building ‘battery boxes’. We really need to stop turning battery boxes into hydrogen bombs! You could say you’re a photographer or amateur historian and simply want to document the location. Often times you can even ask the owners of an abandoned building if you can go in and have a look around. You can avoid getting into trouble with just a simple 5 minute Google search. Just to make sure you’re not illegally trespassing. If you’re wanting to stay on the safe side, before you make your way into an abandoned building you’re wanting to explore, do some quick research first. We, urban explorers, are well aware of the risks of going into abandoned buildings. We take several precautions to avoid detection so as not to be caught. You don’t have to break the law to take part in urbex. In that case, no it’s not illegal to go in and explore. There are several locations that are freely accessible to the public that are also abandoned. Making your way inside an abandoned location without the owner’s permission, means you are trespassing. It doesn’t mean it isn’t owned by someone. Even if the building isn’t fenced up or has “No Trespassing” signs on it. Even if the location is clearly abandoned, most of the time there is an owner. Most places we explore are restricted to public access. Is it legal to explore abandoned buildings? The answer isn’t always a yes or no. This is a question most new people getting into urbex always ask. Photographers, historians, and people who simply like to see abandoned buildings are generally the ones most attracted to urbex. We do it simply because we want to wander around an empty building for one reason or another. There are also, of course, us, urban explorers. They do this to either preserve the history of the building or simply because they like to photograph abandoned locations. Some people do it not because they want to explore abandoned buildings, but because they want to photograph them. Urbex is a hobby that anyone can take part in.įrom my experience, people between the ages of 15-40 are the ones most attracted to urbex. Not everyone does it for the same reason. Being inside a quiet empty building with nothing but your thoughts can be somewhat calming/therapeutic in a way.Įvery urban explorer has his/her reasons for taking part in urbex. Some urban explorers see this hobby as a temporary escape from their everyday lives. Some urban explorers like to go in and take photos/videos of the location before they’re gone forever. Lots of old buildings tend to get demolished or damaged. This especially rings true of buildings with interesting histories such as insane asylums, prisons, mansions, hospitals, or any other place where something beautiful or horrendous happened. Some urban explorers partake in this hobby because they like to document abandoned locations to preserve their history. So we turn to abandoned buildings to fulfill that desire. Unfortunately, we live in the 21st century where there’s not much left to explore. There’s something innate in us humans that desire the need for exploration. It’s something you have to experience for yourself to understand. As you’re looking around your mind starts to wander and you’re completely focused on nothing but what’s in front of you. That first glance of the inside of the building is always amazing. I can’t put into words the feelings you get when your first step foot inside a building that’s been sitting empty for half a century.
So grab a pencil, call up those stories you’ve always wanted to tell, or that you’ve told but never drawn, and let’s get started.
